PADI Staff Instructor
With over 5000 dives to his name, Julien has visited several scuba dive destinations including Turkey, Thailand, the Canary Islands and various parts of the Caribbean. For the past 5 years, Julien has proudly called Curacao his home, where he dives in the clear waters full with various marine life. As a PADI Staff Instructor he has a wealth of knowledge and expertise and can teach a wide range of specialties. Will you join Julien on this underwater adventure?
A PADI Try Dive is an approximately 2 1/2 program where Julien takes you to one of the most popular dive sites in Curaçao. After completing a medical questionnaire, a short briefing and trying on the diving equipment, we enter the water. We do some exercises in shallow water, then we do a fundive. Feel free to bring your family and/or friends. Snorkeling equipment for them may be provided free of charge.
With a Try Dive we make the first dive of a PADI Open Water course. This consists of a total of 5 dives. If you decide to continue with this after the Try Dive, the costs already paid will be fully deducted from the course fee. Participation is possible from the age of 10.

Get your diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and recognized diving course. Millions of people before you have already learned to dive and discovered the wonders of the underwater world through this course. To register for the PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course) you must be at least 10 years old. You must have sufficient swimming skills and be in good physical condition. Previous diving experience is not required.
With your PADI Open Water certificate you can dive independently with your buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters/ 60 feet (Junior Open Water 12 meters / 40 feet). Unlike larger diving centers on the island, Julien allows you to take the course at your own pace. It is not necessary to take the course on consecutive days.
Ready for a new challenge and improve your Open Water Diver skills, including perfect navigation and deep diving? Get the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification from Julien (possibly within 2 days). This PADI certification is recognized worldwide and you can dive with a buddy who has an equivalent or higher certification to a depth of up to 30 meters / 100 feet. Junior PADI Advanced Open Water Divers up to a maximum of 21 meters / 70 feet.
The theory is intended to teach the necessary theoretical knowledge required for five adventure dives. Clear self-study and repetition questions are used to master the knowledge. The review questions are discussed during the course and serve as a theory exam. The five adventure dives are scheduled in consultation. In addition to the course you can book 2 boat dives at east point, the largest corals and sponges are found here. Here you also have the best chance of seeing large underwater life such as the nurse shark and spotted eagle rays.
The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with scuba dive emergencies, both serious and minor, by applying a variety of techniques. Based on theory and rescue exercises, you will learn what to pay attention to and how to respond. You apply your knowledge and skills during the rescue scenarios. The rescue course also includes the EFR course.

The PADI Divemaster course is your first certification at the diving professional level. By working with a PADI instructor you will sharpen your diving skills. This way you will learn to float effortlessly and refine your rescue skills so that you can easily anticipate and solve common problems. You gain diving knowledge and management skills, and you learn to supervise, which makes you an example to divers around you.
